15.6 inch infrared touch frame
Most of the 15.6 inch frames we ship go into housings that were designed around a laptop panel — a vending machine door, a small self-service stand, a bench instrument. The frame is 371 x 224 mm outside, so it clears an opening cut for a standard 15.6 inch 16:9 LCD without touching the surround.
FOB Shenzhen, frame only, 1–50 pcs. Add $18 for 3 mm tempered glass. Volume tiers quoted on request.

Inside the 15.6 inch frame
371 × 224 mm outside with a 13 mm side bezel and a 19 mm bottom rail. This is the same extrusion profile we run from 32 to 110 inch — the cut length changes, the section does not, so the frame in the photo is what arrives at every size in the range.
- 371 × 224 mm outer, 345 × 194 mm active area
- 2–40 touch points, USB HID, no driver for Windows, Android or Linux
- 438 pcs in stock, leaves in 3–7 days
Corner joint. Cast corner block pinned into the extrusion — this is what keeps an 86 inch frame flat instead of bowing in the middle.
Packing. One frame per cardboard tube with foam ends. Crates start at 98 inch, where a tube stops being practical.
What the 15.6 inch frame fits
The active area is 345 × 194 mm — a standard 15.6 inch 16:9 panel. The frame adds 13 mm on three sides and 19 mm at the bottom, which is where the controller PCB and USB cable sit.
- Outer frame: 371 × 224 mm, 9.5 mm deep
- Housing cut-out: leave 375 × 228 mm plus 3 mm clearance for the cable
- Glass clearance: up to 5 mm thick; 8 mm with the wide-gap version
- Mounting: front-flush with M3 inserts, or side brackets
Typical builds at this size: vending machine door, compact self-service stand, bench instrument.
15.6 inch frame — options and unit price
Indicative FOB Shenzhen prices at 10-point configuration. Higher touch counts add controller cost, not sensor cost, so the jump is smaller than most buyers expect.

What happens after the carton is open
A frame is not finished hardware until it is calibrated against the display it sits on. Three things ship with this size to get you there, and none of them are extras.
No driver, on any system
USB HID digitizer. Windows 10/11, Android, Linux and ChromeOS enumerate it without installing anything. macOS reports single point only — worth knowing before you commit.
Calibration tool and profile
Windows and Linux builds, 4/9/25-point runs, written to the controller so it survives a power cycle. Stuck? A ten-minute remote session with our engineer calibrates it with you.
Installation sheet for this size
Clearance, 0.5 N·m torque, ground under 4 Ω, 3 m passive USB limit — plus the symptom table that covers most first-install problems.

15.6 inch frame questions
What is the outer size of a 15.6 inch frame?
Can I get this size with a different bezel?
How many units of the 15.6 inch frame fit in a carton?
Do you supply the tempered glass with the frame?
Is this an IR touch frame or an infrared touch screen?
Also quoted as an IR touch frame, a touch screen or an overlay
Ask ten buyers for this part and you get four different names for it: infrared touch frame, IR touch frame, infrared touch screen and touch overlay. Nothing changes in the box. It is an aluminium rectangle with LEDs down two sides, photodiodes down the other two, and a controller board in the bottom rail. If your drawing is titled “IR touch screen” but your housing already carries the glass, you still need the frame and not a display — we quote it either way.
Half of these frames never go into a new machine at all. They go onto a TV or a monitor that is already on the wall, and the buyer wants a finger to work on it. Same extrusion, same controller, ordered with a longer cable — the overlay guide covers the fit.
If your enquiry uses a name not listed here, send it anyway — a photo of the old part or the housing opening settles it faster than any glossary. Full terminology list →
