Custom infrared frames, 15" to 400"
Non-standard diagonal, a different aspect ratio, a wider bezel, a step in the frame, a cable exit on the left. If it is a rectangle, we can build it — and about seven in ten frames we ship are not a catalogue size.
Project price including engineering, tooling and the first sample unit. Repeat production quoted per drawing — typically 20–35 % below the equivalent standard size.

Knocked down, then rebuilt in your workshop
Above 55 inch a frame is cheaper to ship as four extrusions and four corners than as an assembled rectangle, and freight can drop by a third. The corner blocks are pinned and keyed, so reassembly is a screwdriver job with no alignment jig — we send a one-page drawing with the sequence.
Five things people change, and what each costs you
- Diagonal size — free. We cut the extrusion to length, so 37" or 113" costs the same as a standard size of that length.
- Aspect ratio — free. 4:3, 16:10, 21:9 and 32:9 all work; the LED count changes, so tell us the active area rather than just the diagonal.
- Bezel width — 2–5 days extra. Anything under 13 mm or over 25 mm needs a new extrusion profile, and there is a one-time tooling charge around $300.
- Frame profile / step — 5–7 days extra. A stepped frame that sits over an existing front bezel is common for retrofit work.
- Cable exit direction — free. Left, right, top or bottom; tell us where the controller will live.
How a custom frame gets built
Send the size
Diagonal, outer dimension, or a photo with a tape measure in it. All three work.
Drawing in 24 h
A 2D drawing with outer size, active area, bezel and cable exit for your approval.
Sample 5–7 days
One unit, tested and photographed. Sample cost is credited against production over 50 pcs.
Production 2–3 wks
Tooling is frozen after approval; scheduled releases available for repeat orders.
Custom touch frame, custom size frame, built-to-drawing frame
Buyers arrive at this page with three different phrases. A custom touch frame is the general one. A custom infrared touch frame or custom size IR frame means the same thing with the technology named, and it is what most drawings say. Built to drawing is the factory phrase, and it is the most accurate of the three: nothing here is a modification of a catalogue part, the extrusion is simply cut to your length and drilled to your hole pattern.
That also means there is no tooling charge to amortise. What you pay for is the cut, the corner machining and the controller channel count, which is why a one-off 37 inch frame costs close to a catalogue 43 inch one and a repeat order costs less again.
